Albion Dental Care emphasises a personalised service to our patients. We know how inconvenient and daunting trips to the dentist can be which is why we aim to make your experience as pleasant and convenient as possible. Our Story
Our Albion practice was first established in 1924 by John Francis (Jack) Dingle, and later passed to his sons Maurice and Trevor Dingle, and finally to Ted Bankowski in 1998. (Some of our oldest patients have been attending the practice since the 1930s!) Providing General and Major dentistry, Restorative dentistry, Cosmetic Dentistry, Children’s dentistry and Dental Hygiene education has allowed the practice to develop and expand to such an extent that patients are drawn from all walks of life and from all over the broader Brisbane region, Queensland, NSW and even Victoria! Our core values of caring, compassionate and quality service, professional ethics and excellence, and trust have enabled us to establish lasting and life- long relationships with our patients.
Ted Bankowski
Dr Ted Bankowski was born and raised in Brisbane and studied at the University of Queensland where he graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 1981. Working for the School Dental Service after graduation allowed him to provide kind and gentle care for children from all backgrounds including indigenous and rural students in North and Central Queensland. Working for large Dental practices in Caboolture and Stafford later allowed Ted to enhance and develop his dental expertise before he moved to and eventually took over one of the oldest and most established practices in Brisbane – now known as Albion Dental Care. Ted’s Hobbies and interests: Snow skiing, cycling, travelling, sailing, reading, and spending time with his family and friends.
